With over 23 years providing honest advice and top quality repairs for Hamilton and the surrounding area, you can trust our team at D.I.M.M.S.

D.I.M.M.S was established 23 years ago and is currently owned and operated by husband and wife team, Doug and Karen Tierney. Doug opened the doors to the workshop in 1992 with the focus of providing top quality service and reliable repairs to his customers. In 2000, this business focus saw the popularity of D.I.M.M.S. grow rapidly and the business moved to its current location on Andrew Street. 15 years on from the move, we are still going strong, keeping our workshop updated with the latest tools and equipment, and our staff skilled with the latest training. Doug is supported by qualified mechanics Tim Jaroszczuk and Graeme Torney, as well as Sara Showler in administration. With over 80 years combined experience on our side, you can trust the team at D.I.M.M.S.

Doug Tierney

Doug began his automotive career in 1980 at the age of sixteen at Slorach Auto in Hamilton. 1987 Doug left the automotive trade briefly, and worked for the local council’s parks and gardens.

After 5 short years, Doug had missed the tools and automotive industry, so in 1992, he opened his own business, - “Doug’s Industrial Mower and Mechanical Service”, mechanic work on week days and industrial mowing jobs on weekends.

Later, Doug sold the industrial mowing side of the business to focus on the automotive component of his company. Starting as a one man show, Doug has grown DIMMS into a successful business, servicing and repairing local vehicles for over 23 years. Doug has no intention of slowing down anytime soon.

Graeme Torney 

Graeme joined the DIMMS team in March 2013 with over 38 years of knowledge and experience from working at the local Holden dealership. Graeme started his career at Slorach Auto, in 1975. He witnessed the company change owners, names, and the build of the vehicles dramatically evolve.

Over that time, Graeme has learnt a wealth of experience and knowledge, and has become a valued member of the DIMMS team.

Tim Jaroszczuk

Tim started at DIMMS one day a week through a structured workplace learning program run as a part of his schooling. In 2011 Tim joined the team as their first year apprentice, gaining knowledge and experience learning from the best in the business.

In 2015 Tim qualified as a mechanic and continues to expand his knowledge.

Sara Showler

Sara started her journey in administration in 2011 in Warrnambool, before moving back to Hamilton and joining the DIMMS team in September 2013.

Since then she has completed multiple certificates in business and business administration. Sara is your first point of call when contacting DIMMS.
